DAILY GADGET

Takechiyo, the First Bamboo Keyboard

- With a price tag of $83

By: Tudor Raiciu, Technology and Science Editor

First of all, allow us to wish you gu-tenmorugen, good-morning, and welcome you to another gadget of the day session.

Today, we will once again break the rule of presenting state of the art gadgets, with dazzling features or prices that freeze your fingers and talk about a nice keyboard.
What special features make it to stand out from the crowd? Absolutely none, except for the material it is made from.

And so, Links International has announced the first bamboo keyboard and as we’ve told you above, except for the material, it has nothing special. Quite the contrary, once could say that the keys are rather crowded compared to other keyboards; the image shows the absence of the central group of keys (composed of page up, page down, home, end, insert and delete) and their distribution around the cursor and main ones.

It seems the producer is also aware of this; that is why Links International emphasizes the bamboo’s physical qualities: flexibility, strength and so on.

We can also tell you that the keyboard has an USB connector, a PS/2 adaptor, 104 keys and a price of $83.

In conclusion, if you have at home a samurai sword, a monitor made of wood, and you want a matching keyboard, then the bamboo Takechiyo is the right choice for you.

Domo arigato gozaimashita (Thank you very much) for your attention!

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
