This is what the new HTC device might look like when it arrives

Just a few days ago it was brought to our attention that HTC was looking to make a grand comeback in the world of tablets.

As we already know, and there’s been extensive talk about it in the media, the upcoming Nexus 8 will most likely be made by the company.

But the catch is that HTC will not only aid Google to refresh its tablet portfolio but it will apparently launch two other tablets of its own.

The products have been dubbed the T7 and T12, and for the time being we can only guess that the first one is a 7-incher while the second is a larger 12-inch model.

Larger tablets are gaining more and more traction in the market, so HTC might be right to make a comeback with a tablet sporting a spacious 12-inch form factor.

And if you’re wondering what the T12 might look like when it sees the light of day, the designer Hasan Kaymak has taken it upon himself to provide us with a vision of what the device will turn out to be.

In the images below (and above), you can see that the concept design has been heavily influenced by the company’s flagship One device.

There are a few extra goodies added to the package, like the multi-window mode for multitasking and a very minimalistic camera UI. You can also spot the BlinkFeed with a variety of tile sizes.

Like we’re accustomed with the HTC One and HTC One M8, the speakers are located on each side of the tablet, with BoomSound technology embedded, for loud bass and volume levels.

The UI looks something like that of HTC Sense 6.0, plastered on top of Android KitKat or Android L. The multi-tasking feat we mentioned above is achieved by dragging one of the apps to a part of the screen, then doing the same with the second one.

The designer doesn’t specify this, but the unibody of the device seems to be quite sleek and is probably metallic with extremely thin bezels on top.

We’re not given any specifics about the capabilities of the tablet, but judging by the fact the Nexus 8 will be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, we should see something similar here, too.

As for the screen, it should deliver a performance at least similar to that of a Retina display, but the best case scenario is that it will bring 4K resolution. Fancy the HTC T12 tablet?
