Take a Look Inside the $34,500 (24,073 EUR) RED Epic-X 5K Camera

Quite a few of us were curious to see what’s inside RED’s Epic-X 5K camera, but taking apart a $34,500 (24,073 EUR) piece of hardware just for that certainly doesn’t seem like the best idea in the world.

Fortunately for us, FCC doesn’t have a problem with tearing down such a precious camera, and recently has posted a series of pictures detailing every milk and cranny of the Epic-X.

This includes that Mysterium-X sensor and Red 1242 processor as well as all sort of other goodies that made the Epic-X so popular among filmmakers.
