Fans are speculating that it might be another Red Dead Redemption

Information coming from the most recent financial report of publisher Take Two reveals that the most important development studio it owns, Rockstar, is at the moment working on a new title for the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony, which is set to be launched before March 31 of next year.

The company is not yet ready to offer any kind of detail on the title and presumably an official announcement will be made later during the year, says VG247.

Rockstar traditionally keeps information about its future titles under wraps for as long as possible, even if that means that fans tend to create elaborate theories about its projects.

Take Two has not made it clear whether the game uses an already existing franchise, which probably means that we are talking about a new Red Dead Redemption, or if the studio is aiming to create an entirely new universe from scratch.

Fans have also been speculating that a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is in development, set to arrive in the fall, and that more downloadable content for the single-player mode is also in the works.

The financial results of Take Two offer no hint about these two projects.
