They were oh-so-huge in the'90s and then they fell into oblivion. It sounds rather familiar? Well doh... it's the classic and almost unavoidable story of most boy-bands.
But few are the legendary groups who can team up again after one decade and sell very well. It happened to British sensational Take That. The former boys teamed up again for a nostalgic tour and found out that selling out tickets to concerts is still possible.
Of course the mega-star Robbie Williams didn't attend the reunion tour, too busy with his next album, collaborations with the likes of Pet Shop Boys and William Orbit and lots of other stuff. Yet he wasn't missed.
So with the tour halfway through and further success to be anticipated the four members of Take That were suddenly again in the public eye. Music labels didn't miss the occasion and tried to come up with a record deal.
All four band members (the new formula that is), Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald decided it would be a smart thing to do and they signed up for $ 6 million with Polydor.
The future album is to be much anticipated by both old and new fans. A source said: "Their current tour proved there is still a big fan base. But it was a collection of new songs that gave Polydor the confidence to commit to the future."
