In what is probably the most successful comeback in the entire history of boy bands, the guys from Take That just finished a sold-out UK tour with another performance at Abbey Road studio in London. The concert will air on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday and the boys gave all they had to make it memorable.
Robbie Williams was the only one that refused to take part in the Take That reunion. Maybe the split was too painful to go back to the way he was before leaving the band or maybe he was doing too well on his own to go down such a rocky road as the reunion was supposed to be.
However, the remaining four, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange got together again and - by the looks of things - the decision to go back to the same formula (minus one) was a wise one. Their brand new single, 'Patience' is slowly making its way to the top of the UK singles charts, with predictions indicating that it will reach number one this weekend.
The same goes for their fourth album, 'Beautiful World', which is likely to become one the best-seller this Christmas season in England. Also, the tour they just wrapped up, in 29 different venues, sold out at an impressive speed.
'It's been so great to come back', Barlow said after the performance at Abbey Road, still in awe at how well they were received the second time around. Despite the huge success the foursome enjoyed this time, it still remains to be seen how they'll do in the US. And that's a milestone not even Robbie Williams could cross.
