A Kickstarter project is available for an ingenious iPhone case that lets you take sneaky photos and videos without anyone noticing. Its purpose is to allow people to behave naturally in front of the camera, mainly by keeping them unaware that there’s a camera pointed at them.

The COVR Photo Lens Case allows you to shoot beautiful, artistic images of naturally occurring moments in life. As the developers put it, when people don’t know they’re being documented, they behave naturally, not in the way they want to be caught on camera.

Of course, the COVR Photo Lens Case also makes for a great stalker accessory. And it won’t be long before people notice the big lens on this thing either. It’s not exactly inconspicuous. However, it’s a truly original solution for not having to hold your iPhone upright when shooting video, and if you keep your distance, chances are it will serve its purpose flawlessly.

The price seems okay too for such an original idea. Pledge $55 (€40) or more and you’ll be among the first to own a COVR Photo Lens Case. There will also be a free COVR Photo iOS app available when the product is released in September, but that’s if the $80,000 (€58,000) Kickstarter goal is reached within the next 26 days.
