Police in Taiwan seem to be pretty efficient when it comes to identifying and apprehending cybercriminals. The second possibility is that Taiwanese hackers don’t really know how to hide their tracks, allowing authorities to easily identify them.

Whichever the case may be, Taiwan’s Criminal Investigation Bureau has revealed that it has arrested an individual suspected of hacking into the systems of a popular local classic music website.

According to The China Post, the man was cuffed on May 1. His computer was seized during a raid on his apartment.

The hacker, identified as an individual named Shih, admitted hacking into the website’s customer database by leveraging an SQL Injection vulnerability.

Once he gained unauthorized access, he made changes to customer data.

The website’s operator reported the incident to authorities back in March.
