The Pipo P1 tablet was also spotted scoring 40k in the same program

After Xiaomi’s first tablet, the MiPad, was introduced not so long ago, the first benchmark scores surfaced, showing the slate managing to score as high as 39,263 in AnTuTu.

But a new tablet might have just surpassed this limit, hitting an impressive 41k points using the same benchmark app.

Xiaomi’s slate managed to achieve this impressive results because it’s the first one of this kind to come equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra K1 SoC under the hood.

And that’s probably the case with the mystery Taipower Teclast. Even if Taipower has been known to be doing business with Intel, in the chip department, word on the street has it that their latest tablet product takes advantage of something else entirely, says Tablet-News (via PadNews).

As you have probably guessed already, the Taipower Teclast most likely comes equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra K1 CPU. It’s not a real life product just yet and the device might turn out to run an octa-core CPU after all.

We’re not given the specifics concerning the exact size of the tablet, but it’s highly unlikely this is a 7-incher, but rather an 8-inch or 9.7-inch model.

A tablet running Rockchip’s RK3288 was also spotted scoring in the 40k range in the same AnTuTu. We’re talking about the Pipo P1 we told you about not so long ago.

Compared to the Taipower Teclast, the P1 is actually a real life device which will most likely arrive on the market in China as soon as next month.

So in the configuration department, we have all the details. The slate arrives with a 9.7-inch display offering a beautiful 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution.

Pipo takes advantage of Rockchip's latest RK3288 quad-core processor, which has been manufactured at 28nm. Clock frequencies can go as high as 1.6GHz.

The tablet is also bundled with Mali T764 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. An aspect that will certainly draw the attention of those considering whether or not to purchase the tablet is the huge 10,000 mAh battery, which should provide unlimited battery life to the slate.

To get an idea of what Taipower Teclast tablet might come equipped with, let’s take a look at Xiaomi’s spec list too.

The slate also offers the same Retina-display quality (2048 x 1536) mounted on a 7.9-inch screen. Xiaomi makes use of the NVIDIA Tegra K1 SoC, which is a quad-core Cortex A15 clocked at 2.2GHz and fitted with 192 graphical cores. The slate works with 2GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

So, the Taipower Teclast should at least offer the same Retina-like resolution and one of these powerful processors.
