Tails, a live system that aims to preserve your privacy and anonymity and that helps you use the Internet anonymously, is now at version 0.17.1.
Tails 0.17.1 is a rather small release, and with the exception of a Linux kernel update, there aren't a lot of changes and improvements.
Highlights of Tails 0.17.1:
• The Iceweasel internet browser was updated to version 17.0.4esr-0+tails1~bpo60+1; • Linux kernel was updated to version 3.2.39-2. This new version includes support for a graphics adapter, backported from Linux kernel 3.4.29; • The Rendition display driver has been removed, temporarily. It's expected to make a comeback in the new future; • The Indymedia IRC account has been removed, at least until the developers provide Pidgin with SASL support.
A complete changelog can be found in the official announcement.
