The commercial poked fun at a healthy life style, caused quite a controversy

Taco Bell was recently left with no choice expect pull a commercial on account of its being insulting towards fruits and vegetables alike.

More precisely, the following message was considered by many as nothing more and nothing less than an uncalled for campaign against a healthy lifestyle:

“Veggies on game day is like punting on fourth and one. It’s a cop out. Secretly, people kind of hate you for it.”

I don't really speak sports, but is does seem to me that these three short sentences are more than enough to change people's dietary habits and make them switch from eating fruits and vegetables on a regular basis to being full-time carnivores. Unless they aren't.

Still, Margo Wootan, the nutrition policy director at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, wished to make it quite clear that, “It’s bad enough that there aren’t many ads on television for broccoli, kale, or carrots. The last thing healthy fruits and vegetables needed was to be the subject of attack ads.”
