It’s not that more people will switch to tablets, but current owners buy new models

The tablets market is currently on the rise and everybody says that, but the speed with which tablets will take over the IT market amazes most industry analysts. Many say that there are people open to the format who enjoy using it, and conservative or demanding users who won’t switch sides too soon.

The thing is that tablets and the technological advances in this young market are so impressive that the current users will buy new models as soon as they make an appearance.

In the UK, 45% of the current tablet owners are reportedly already looking to buy newer and faster models.

There, Apple is enjoying about 64% of the market; however, they suffered a 4% decrease compared with last year’s 70% market share.

As new and improved models from Acer, ASUS, Samsung, MSI and Toshiba will soon hit the market, 2013 should manifest a boom in tablet sales, despite the fact that Apple’s iPad 4 is probably more than a year away.
