Usually when you say tablet, you tend to think of some mobile device that you can carry around with you. But it appears that's not always the case. Hardware design house TablerTV has recently decided to go into business with NEC to produce a very large screen line of touch screen-based tablet products.

And by very large we mean ten times larger than what you'd expect to see in your average consumer tablet. The upcoming NEC V-series, which includes the V423, V463, and V552, will feature displays starting at 42 inches. All models will come sporting dual-core processors to fuel the giants.

If you're wondering which the target audience for these massive displays is, the answer is the business and enterprise environment, of course. The idea behind these massive tablets is to allow a group of professionals to watch and interact with digital content during gatherings such as conferences or seminars.

Professionals in education, retail chains, the food and entertaining industry (hotels, restaurants), and health care (hospitals) might take a keen interest in this oversized tablet.

The products are still in production at the moment, and no information about pricing has been provided just yet.
