A new spell checking component, TX Text Control RapidSpell .NET, has been released by The Imaging Source Europe, the manufacturer of TX Text Control.

The product has been developed in collaboration with another software company. Bjorn Meyer, product manager, The Imaging Source Europe, explains that “This .NET component is a co-operation between the software vendor Keyoti and us.”

We have to mention that TX Text Control RapidSpell .NET is especially designed for all TX Text Control .NET programs that may require a fast and accurate spell check. This tool can be used to make Windows Forms and ASP.NET web programs.

A nice feature is that it requires no code in order to connect the controls, thus providing a feature-rich spell checking interface.

The two most important features of this .NET component are replacement suggestions and adding new words to a custom dictionary. Total control over the spelling while typing a document is delivered to users through the "spell as you type" feature. Users can replace the misspelled words by accessing the context menu that is automatically inserted.

For the usual GUI features like add, undo, options, ignore, change, change or ignore all, you can use the TX Text Control RapidSpell .NET dialog. By using this, you can easily check a part of your document, the whole document, highlight the errors or accept manual corrections. This dialog window will allow users to edit the main document while performing a spell check. Also, it supports an editable user dictionary.

The users’ options are stored by default under NET's IsolatedStorage. The settings that this component allows you to do are: receive suggestions only from the main dictionary, select ignoring words in uppercase or the ones with numbers, select the improper case or e-mail addresses or URLs to be ignored, set the program to always provide a correction.

This new component comes with several dictionaries, like UK and US English, Combined English (~155k words), German (old and new spelling), Australian and Canadian. It also provides specialist dictionaries such as medical ones.

TX Text Control RapidSpell .NET is royalty free and comes with unlimited free technical support by e-mail and phone. The price for one developer license begins at $299.
