More and more people are turning online to get the latest episodes of their TV shows or to watch one they might have missed. And sometimes they even do it on legal sites. There are a number of good places to watch shows online and there are a couple of great video search engines. Clicker borrows heavily from both types of sites, but is neither. Instead, the new site aims to be the one-stop-shop for keeping up with your favorite shows online.

Clicker's primary function is a video search engine. Not that there's a shortage of those or that any of them has been too successful, but the site differentiates itself with its emphasis on quality videos from legal sources. While other search engines might return dozens of usually very similar results from all manner of video sites, Clicker will return maybe a couple of them from the official sources. If the video is available for embedding, it will play it back on the site, otherwise it will direct you to the original source.

However, the site is much more than just another video site, after you find what you need you can save the episodes to your library and even subscribe to the show. In fact, the site's DVR features are what set it apart. Users can queue up episodes, get the entire season and are notified when a new episode is available. Clicker is now launching for the public, after a private beta period and marks the occasion with some significant updates.

On the content side, Clicker now boasts some 400,000 episodes from 7,000 TV shows. The site also announced partnerships with Netflix and Amazon to provide its users with shows that might be available for streaming or download through the services. With the new partnership Clicker has added some 30,000 movies to its catalogue. It also introduced some updates to the DVR features and Facebook integrations. The site arguably offers one of the best viewing experiences online and better than just watching TV. Now all is has to do is convince the users of its advantages.
