The popular online video sharing service YouTube signed a deal with Sveriges Television to create a new channel on the official page of the product in which the TV company will publish its own programs and shows. The deal will be rolled out in September but the representatives of the two companies refused to offer more details about the agreement. According to The Local, the first goal of the partnerships is to allow the Internet users to discover the Swedish television's programs as well as enhancing the content provided by YouTube.

"We want to test different target groups. We will carry out an evaluation at the end of the year and then decide whether to continue," Lena Glaser, head of interactive content at SVT said for The Local.

At this time, the television already owns a very popular website because it publishes most of their video content straight on the page, allowing the Internet users to access them all.

In the past, the parent company Google signed deals with numerous televisions, all of them being meant to attract a different type of audience to the popular online video sharing service. Take for example the partnership with BBC that was announced a long time ago and was meant to bring hot content to YouTube.

At that time, the officials of the two partners sustained that BBC will create three new channels on YouTube, two of them bringing entertainment content while the other one will provide the latest news and headlines.

The online video sharing service owns an impressive number of partnerships with companies from almost all domains. After the Viacom removal was confirmed and the case was moved to the court, Google sustained that YouTube faced the competition and is still the leader in its category thanks to the users. Also, the giant started a powerful campaign of agreements, saying that YouTube owns no less than 1000 partnerships.
