Full HD TV prices in particular will go down, unlike those UHD screens

Since Ultra High-Definition TVs are still a relatively young market, they aren't expected to sell all that much, nor are they something the display industry as a whole relies on just yet.

As such, there is no real pressure on them to reduce general pricing.

Full HD panels, on the other hand, with their 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution (as opposed to 3840 x 2160) are common now.

Thus, if the latest TV panel pricing drop forecast proves true, it will be because of them.

Essentially, TV panel prices sized at 45, 50 and 55 inches are expected to slide down by 2% by the middle of July.

Full HD panels may drop in price by $2-4 / €1.56 – 3.11, driving the phenomenon.

Rising demand in China should help, as will the slight oversupply. September will encourage things as well, since it is the month during which vendors prepare for the October 1 holiday period in China.

Us consumers probably won't feel it, but if panel prices drop again a few times, TV tags should decrease a bit too, VAT or no.
