14 DAY TRIAL // A CBS TV crew filming inside the Super Bowl security command center before the big game exposed a Wi-Fi access password.
Many internet users noticed the gaffe. ZDNet’s Violet Blue reports that the SSID (marko) and the password (w3Lc0m3!HERE) were most likely used by staff, press or for ticketing systems.
The credentials have been probably changed, but it’s still pretty embarrassing for a “secret, first-of-its-kind command center.”
Major events like the Super Bowl are always a tempting target for cybercriminals, so they should really be more careful about what they allow TV crews to film.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. Back in November 2012, photographs of Britain’s Prince William at the Royal Air Force revealed passwords and other sensitive information.
