MediaTek and OmniVision are two of the few fabless chip companies that have increased their orders with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), but the opposite goes for many others.

This means that the chip manufacturer expects shipments to fall in September, and for August to return a decline as well.

Consequently, revenues are set to slide down, to around $1.45-1.48 billion (1.15-1.17 billion Euro). For the sake of comparison, the sum was of 1.62 billion, give or take.

Nevertheless, even with the drop in monthly finances, the overall third quarter results are still poised to be satisfactory, with revenues at $45.5-46.2 billion.

Since sales of all types of PCs will rebound in October, it is probable that TSMC will return to smoother operations in the fourth quarter as well.
