TRUSTe has enhanced its Data Privacy Management Platform. The new offering, TRUSTed Apps: Enterprise Edition, provides organizations mobile app brand monitoring, security scanning, privacy assessment and certification.

The new solution is designed to help organizations in addressing the challenges raised by the deployment of mobile apps and services, including brand theft, data leakage, and unauthorized brand usage via mobile malware and spoofed mobile apps.

The expansion of TRUSTe’s data privacy management platform is a result of a partnership with RiskIQ, a company that provides security solutions beyond the firewall.

“Our recent consumer research reveals that 78% of consumers won't download an app they don't trust and that heavily impacts business. We're seeing that strong privacy practices, which are a requirement dictated by government and mobile app stores, are now also demanded by consumers who weigh privacy heavily in their decision to engage with apps,” said Chris Babel, CEO of TRUSTe.

“TRUSTe continues to develop innovative technology solutions to help businesses safely collect and use customer data to provide a personalized experience while building trust and protecting brand reputation. Our partnership with RiskIQ helps expand our platform and enables our clients to proactively manage the emerging global privacy risks across all their mobile apps.”

The new features integrated into TRUSTed Apps: Enterprise Edition include automated management of mobile app footprint and app stores, continuous monitoring to enforce corporate mobile policies, malware detection, and real-time incidents reporting.

“Clients who use the TRUSTed Apps: Enterprise Edition will instantly gain global visibility and early warning into the presence of rogue apps, malware and brand infringements impacting their organizations. As organizations are better equipped to control their apps, the app store experience improves for everyone,” said Elias Manousos, CEO and co-founder of RiskIQ.
