We've seen quite a few TRON-inspired products make it to the market ever since the famous TRON:Legacy movie was released, and one of the latest we've come across is the Monster TRON iPod Identity Disc Dock.

While the new TRON installment was well received by some (especially the franchise's hardocre fans) and heavily criticized by others, the truth of the matter is that almost all merchandise items related to this series proved to be particularly successful, and the same goes for the iPod dock we'll talk about as follows, that's been on sale for quite some time now on Amazon and has received some pretty interesting reviews.

So, what we're talking about there is a docking station for the iPod inspired by the iconic disc featured in Disney's epic film, but also capable of providing, beside the impressive light show (delivered by the dual-pipe lighting rings with CPU-controlled lighting effects), some pretty OK-quality music.

The sound system within the Monster TRON iPod Identity Disk Dock is powered by a total of 5 drivers, namely 4 x 1.5-inch drivers and one 3.5-inch long-throw woofer, that should be capable of delivering quite a good level of audio power when an iPod is docked onto it.

And speaking of docking an iOS device, it's important to mention that the device from Monster should work quite well with a variety of Apple products, including here the iPod nano, iPod touch (1 through 3'rd generations) and the iPhone (all generations).

Beside working with the aforementioned Apple products, the audio system from Monster also sports a 3.5-mm aux audio input, which will allow users to hook up other types of audio devices to this thing, as well as an Auto POWER UP/POWER SAVE feature, that senses whether an audio signal is present or not before switching the dock on or off.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that this thing sells for an estimate 300 US dollars, which is a rather good deal, all things considered.
