14 DAY TRIAL // TRENDnet has just released firmware version 2.3 p30 for its TW100-S4W1CA (Version 2.0) broadband router. This update improves the UPnP stealth mode functionality to prevent against UPnP scan/detection tools.
The update procedure requires you to download the archive at the link below and unzip it to an accessible location (your Desktop, for example).
Next, use a web browser to access the router’s configuration page (default IP address is 192.168.10.1). In the following screen, pick the “System” section and then “Firmware Upgrade.”
Browse for the firmware file you've just extracted and click the “Apply” button. The device will now install the firmware and, when it completes, will reboot. Make sure you don't turn off the device or press the reset button while the installation is ongoing.
