TRENDnet has outed a new firmware version, namely the 6.50A package, targeted at its TW100-S4W1CA broadband wired routers that have the serial number similar to “S/N: CA17000649.”

The newly released package increases the TCP/UDP session to 1024, and adds support for the Soribada mp3 search software and for the StartCraft multi-user mode.

As for installing the firmware, from the router’s UI ( type http://192.168.1.254 and password, and then click OK), select the “+Others” option, and then “Firmware upgrade.”

At the “File Path/Name,” type the path to where the S4W1CA_A_650.bin file has been extracted from the downloadable archive, and click “Upgrade Now.”

At this point, the new firmware will be uploaded to the router (displaying a countdown timer), and afterwards it will be installed, followed by a restart – do not interrupt the installation process so that the device doesn’t encounter any problems.

After the router has powered back up, try to enter its UI again and check the firmware version to ensure that the process was successful.

That being said, follow the link below, and download the latest firmware for TRENDnet’s router.
