TRENDnet has outed 3 new firmware versions for 3 of its internet cameras, namely the 1.1.1, 1.0.2, and 1.1.2 files for the TV-IP262PI, TV-IP262P, and TV-IP252P devices, respectively.

The newly released packages fix some security vulnerabilities, and may also improve the cameras’ overall performance and stability.

It is strongly recommended that you don’t save any configuration file from the old firmware and restore it after the update.

In addition, the upgrade shouldn’t be done using a wireless connection, because this may result in an update failure or device malfunction – so, make sure you use a wired network instead.

After a successful upgrade, you should restore the device’s factory settings, and moreover, changing the camera’s administrator account password should be a must if you want to have a higher security level.

Specifically speaking, after the latest version is installed, the camera shouldn’t be linked with the old one in any way.

That being said, follow one of the links below depending on which internet camera you own, and increase the security level.
