TRENDnet has recently released a new firmware update for its TEW-812DRU (Version v1.0R) dual band wireless router. Version 1.0.11.0 adds support for NAT loopback and fixes the scheduling, DNS, and URL bugs.

To update, download the TRENDnet TEW-812DRU (Version v1.0R) Router Firmware 1.0.11.0 and extract the archive to an accessible location. Use a wired connection to the device while performing the installation.

Next, log into your router's configuration page by accessing 192.168.10.1 (this is the default IP) in a browser's address bar.

Then, select the “Administrator” section and then “Upload Firmware.” The next screen allows you to browse for the recently extracted file and, after you do that, click “Apply.”

From this point on, the router starts flashing the new firmware. Make sure you don't interrupt the process by unplugging the device or pressing any buttons on the router. The update will be complete when the unit restarts.
