TRANSFORMERS G1: Awakening App Available in App Store

Leading global publisher of mobile games Glu Mobile Inc. announced today the launch of a new title for the users of an Apple iPhone or iPod touch, the TRANSFORMERS G1: Awakening App. According to the company, the new software solution comes towards iPhone owners all around the world, and has been already added to the Apple App Store, so that users can download and enjoy it.

At the same time, Glu also notes that this is the second title it develops and releases on the App Store based on the TRANSFORMERS franchise, under license from Hasbro. There are a wide range of features that will appeal a lot to users, the company notes, mentioning the inclusion of 23 characters from the original series, 17 levels in store mode, 3D graphics and more.

“The new version of TRANSFORMERS G1: Awakening App offers players another great Glu title that takes advantage of the powerful gaming capabilities of these devices,” said Alex Galvagni, CTO & SVP Global Product Development, Glu. “By making this game available on the App Store we have been able to bring immersive 3D animations and gameplay to the epic battles between the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS.”

When it comes to the characters iPhone users will be able to enjoy with the application, we can count AUTOBOTS like BUMBLEBEE, OPTIMUS PRIME, RATCHET and IRONHIDE, as well as DECEPTICON villains, including MEGATRON, STARSCREAM, SOUNDWAVE and FRENZY. Each of these characters comes with its own weaponry, as well as with various special features, but also with its own weaknesses.

Other features of the app include:
- 17 Levels In Story Mode - follow the famous TRANSFORMERS story as you battle through 17 episodes of strategic action.
- Fight For Good Or Evil - fight on either side of the epic battles in the CYBERTRON Arena mode and even challenge a friend.
- Rich 3D Graphics - get ready to fight exceptionally detailed robots, and experience spectacular special effects and beautiful animated scenes, all in 3D
- Convert Your Robot - convert into vehicle mode to travel faster and convert into robot mode to get ready for battle
