Japanese giant company Toshiba is reportedly preparing to launch the dynabook REGZA PC D732 All-in-One Desktop built with Intel’s high-performance Ivy Bridge.
The REGZA PC D732/T9 sports a 23” FullHD LED display and three different case colors: a nice white and red color option and the ever boring black.
The processing power is brought by Intel’s Core i7-3610QM processor working at 2.30 GHz clock speed, with a 3.30 GHz Turbo Boost frequency.
Intel’s high-performance quad-core CPU is placed in a 988-pin micro-PGA socket and comes with a large level 3 cache to keep those 8 HyperThreading threads fed with data.
It also has a dual-channel integrated memory controller (IMC) able to handle DDR3 memory modules with a speed of up to 1600MHz.
We would rather see AMD’s Trinity inside such all-in-one (AIO) systems just for the graphics power and for the energy efficiency, but Intel’s HD4000 integrated graphics processing unit is quite capable, and a lot more so than Sandy Bridge’s HD3000.
While not able to match AMD’s Trinity iGPU, Intel’s HD4000 will do a decent job running at 650 MHz default frequency with an optional Turbo mode of 1100 MHz.
The maximum power consumption of Intel’s Ivy Bridge-based Core i7-3610QM is 45 watts.
The system will come with 8 GB or DDR3 RAM installed in dual-channel mode and with up to 2 TB of storage space.
On the optical side we have a BDXL-capable Blu-ray drive and the connectivity is well-endowed with USB 2.0, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, Wireless N and an SD card reader.
The pricing starts at a high 2,665 USD. That would be around 2,085 EUR for the European buyers and 210,000 JPY for the Japanese buyers.
