Don't believe it until you see it. But what if you see it and it isn't true?

There's an old saying going something like this: "Don't believe it 'till you see it!" But seeing pictures carefully put aside one another, indicating that Konami has shook hands with Xbox Live Arcade's beta testing network to release their classic game on XBLA, gives new meaning to that saying. The thing is that even if you see something like this, it doesn't necessarily mean it's happening. If anyone is asking "why isn't this possible?" there's at least one good answer to this question.

First of all, Konami, unfortunately as it sounds for fans, still has about 6 titles on the launching pad and some of them aren't even a certainty, concerning launch date I mean. So TNMT for XBLA doesn't exactly sound like a priority. Plus, the Turtles are now handled by Ubisoft, so there you go, another little clue to why it could all be a rumor, and nothing else.

And to top it all, it should be clear to everyone that the console versions of TMNT focus more on teamwork, character development and control than any other Turtles game to date. Surely that should mean a good period of time in which late hours of work and black coffee are the main ingredients to accomplish something like this. So, even if it sounds great for gamers eager to win points as they slash and bash Foot Ninjas and other powerful foes, it's safe to say TNMT for XBLA isn't happening very soon, if not ever.
