By now, everyone must be aware of the fact that Robbie Williams has just become a father for a second time, after he decided to share the birthing process with all of his fans, by means of social media.

Williams, a man who is known for his quirky outbursts at times, decided that it was a good idea to let his fans know in real time about his wife Ayda Field's labor and birthing process, with live commentary, no less.

Robbie Williams decides to live-text the entire birthing process from start to finish

Robbie tweeted, “It's been a very emotional, amazing few hours and we're really happy and honoured that you experienced the journey with us.”

He added a video which he titled “No Moms Were Harmed” and which depicted the blushing new mother and the proud father who said that he'd “never been more in love and never been more proud of my wife.”

To add to the comedic side of the moment, Robbie's video had him performing a version of the popular Disney song “Let It Go” from the animation “Frozen,” right at the moment Field was going into labor.

Field is struggling with contractions and can be heard moaning throughout. When she's had enough, she snaps at her husband, “Robbie, could you stop singing Frozen?!?” causing him to stop abruptly.

In another post, the mom to be can be seen wearing high heels on the hospital bed, although there isn't a clear explanation for that. Later, in another video, the doctor can be seen explaining to the camera that he is about to break Field's water after a labor that lasted 10 hours. Williams snidely replies, “Will any of it get on my gown?”

The singer concludes that it was all in good humor, to try and make the mom feel better

He concluded with “Everything we have done has been a bit of a laugh and it has helped Ayda take her mind off the pain. We hope we made you laugh in the process.”

There are many other jokes and videos throughout in what was clearly meant as a way of boasting but also of broadcasting to the world the birth of his new baby. All in all, both mother and father seem to have had a lot of fun – but mostly the father.

This is the second child for the couple, after Field gave birth to daughter Theodora Rose back in September 2012. Robbie and Ayda have been married since 2010, and in April of this year they announced that they were expecting a second baby.

Ever the showman, Robbie decided that he was going to make a spectacle out of it.
