Singer says she hadn’t even seen Rihanna’s photos at the 2014 CFDAs

TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins is very angry that people would think she said Rihanna needed to learn to attract attention to her music by actually doing good music instead of flashing her bits on the red carpet. She’s lashing out on Twitter, saying the name Rihanna never actually passed her lips.

The feud started short after Rihanna’s spectacular turn on the red carpet at the 2014 CFDAs in New York, where she wore a dress that turned see-through to such an extent on the red carpet that she might have as well gone without it at all.

T-Boz and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, in Australia at the time this happened, were asked in an interview what they thought of this stunt of Rihanna’s and, in more general terms, of this fad with pop stars showing so much skin to keep people paying attention to them as performers.

T-Boz said that she disapproved, and even added that they, the TLC girls, never did anything of the sort and just worked their backsides off until they became the biggest selling female group of all times. Rihanna responded on Twitter by posting a photo of T-Boz, Chilli and the late Left Eye topless. It was a promotional photo for a new album.

Now, T-Boz is saying that she didn’t even mention Rihanna’s name in that conversation with the reporter. She doesn’t deny saying those things about other female pop stars, but she denies she said them about the Barbadian beauty.

Moreover, she continues, those quotes that got out were actually pieced together from two separate interviews.

“Last time I checked I didn’t say no bodies name the interview lady did [expletive] I’m out of the country lol I didn’t even see pics. how did I get dragged in2 talkin about some1 I like I don’t care what my opinion is I’m gonna say what I want at least get what I say right,” T-Boz writes on her Twitter.

“See & this why it’s terrible 2 be a follower lol ya hear the wrong thing & they run with it & don’t even know wtf their talking about smh. Looks like folks need 2 research I didn’t see a show or pics I’m in Australia if 1 person says something they run with it not knowing smh,” she continues.

She also says that she shouldn’t have “played with ignorance” and she promises this will serve as a lesson in the future for her.

Rihanna hasn’t responded yet and, by the looks of things, she probably never will. She has removed the header photo of the topless TLC trio from her Twitter but hasn’t removed the tweets in which she said she wasn’t even going to bother about the comments because “I'm me, and they're well... they're them.”

Either way, by removing the header pic, she seems to be saying she’s pacified. We guess this celebrity feud is now officially over.
