After officially admitting that it’s looking to sell off the publishing rights to Devil’s Third, THQ has now confirmed that the inSane project, currently masterminded by renowned Hollywood Director Guillermo Del Toro, hasn’t been canceled.

THQ announced quite a lot of promising new intellectual properties last year, among which Devil’s Third, coming from Valhalla Game Studios run by Japanese designer Tomonobu Itagaki, and inSane, coming from Saints Row developer Volition and masterminded by Guillermo Del Toro.

After revealing yesterday that it’s looking to sell the Devil’s Third project, THQ has now posted an update about inSane, denying any rumors that it was cancelled due to financial problems.

“Guillermo Del Toro's "inSane" is not cancelled,” said THQ’s Executive Vice President of Core Games, Danny Bilson, on his Twitter account.

While the executive didn’t reveal any other details, it’s good to hear that work on inSane is still going strong and that it might still appear sometime in 2013.
