Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS has officially started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system update to the owners of Galaxy Note devices on its network.

The carrier has also posted specific details on how users can update their devices to the new platform release.

Samsung Galaxy Note (SGH-I717) should have received the update a few months ago, yet it has been delayed a few times before, until today.

According to TELUS’ support website, users will receive the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform upgrade in stages, which means that not all of them will get a taste of the update right from the start.

The software can be downloaded through the Samsung Kies application, the carrier says. As MobileSyrup notes, users can check the OS version loaded on their phones through going to Menu > Settings > About Device > Android version.
