Spotted in the wild two weeks ago, Samsung Hercules seems to be the TELUS variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II flagship Android smartphone.

The phone has just been pictured and shows that it will be released via TELUS in the next following weeks.

Courtesy to the guys over at MobileSyrup, we also have a glimpse of what this beast can do, as the phone's benchmark result have been pictured and published, as well.

It looks like the Samsung Hercules scored an impressive 3,359 result on a Quadrant benchmark, which puts it far in the lead when it comes to performance.

Although the next on the benchmark list is a Nexus One powered by Google's Android 2.2 (Froyo), the Hercules scored double the Nexus One's results, which is simply amazing.

However, let's not forget that the Samsung Hercules, aka Samsung Galaxy S II, is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, while the Nexus One features a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon CPU.

Samsung Hercules will be the first dual carrier 42Mbps smartphone available in Canada and is said to feature a brilliant 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that the original Galaxy S II is delivered with a slightly smaller 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

In addition, Samsung Hercules is expected to be powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system out-of-the-box.

No other details about the Hercules have emerged yet, but we can assume that the smartphone will sport an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, and full HD (1080p@30fps) video recording capabilities.

As seen in the pics, the Hercules also features a secondary 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

There are no information regarding the phone's release date or pricing yet.
