Canadian carrier TELUS postponed the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for LG Optimus LTE a few times. The latest delay pushed the release of the update to August 20 and it looks like the operator has finally started the rollout of ICS.

MobileSyrup reports that many TELUS LG Optimus LTE owner have already received the update, as promised by the carrier several days ago.

The update is currently pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, which means not all LG Optimus LTE owners will get it at the same time.

In order to manually check for the update simply go to Settings / About phone / System software updates / Check now. In case Android 4.0.4 ICS update does not show on the screen we recommend LG Optimus LTE owners to check back later.
