14 DAY TRIAL // Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS has just kicked off a new appealing promotion for its customers, with a wide range of smartphones made available for free upon the signing of contract agreements with the operator.
Those Canadians interested in taking advantage of this offer would have to commit to a new 2-or 3-year contract agreement with the wireless services provider, on a $50 per month or higher plan.
Until March 31st, the carrier's smartphone lineup, save for the Android-based HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy Apollo, can be purchased for free.
Appealing Android devices were included in this promotion, such as the HTC Desire, the LG Optimus One with Google, Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+, Motorola Charm, LG Shine Plus with Google, the Motorola Backflip, or the Motorola Milestone.
In addition to these handsets, TELUS customers can also opt for free BlackBerry smartphones, including the BlackBerry Style 9670, BlackBerry Bold 9780, BlackBerry Bold 9700, BlackBerry Torch 9800, BlackBerry Pearl 3G, or the BlackBerry Curve 3G and the BlackBerry Curve 8530.
The wireless carrier also made the LG Optimus 7 and HTC 7 Surround Windows Phone 7 devices available for free, along with the already highly popular Nokia E72 smartphone.
Unfortunately, the HTC Desire HD would still go for $99.99 on a three-year contract agreement, while the Samsung Galaxy Apollo was priced at $49.99.
Moreover, we should note that the Canadian operator did not lower the price tag of the Apple iPhone 4 either.
Undoubtedly, the wireless carrier is trying to clear up some inventory to make room for newer handsets that should make it to its offering soon, such as the Nexus S, the Samsung Galaxy Fascinate 4G, and more, including a 42Mbps Internet Stick, as the guys over at MobileSyrup note in a recent article.
