TELUS LG Optimus LTE has been recently spotted running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but it looks like customers will have to wait a bit longer until the update arrives on the carrier’s airwaves.

Unfortunately, the operator previously scheduled the rollout of the Android 4.0.4 ICS update for August 7, but TELUS backtracked on its promise for unknown reasons.

The new estimated release date for Android 4.0 ICS upgrade for LG Optimus LTE is August 20. Given the fact that this is just an expected launch date, there are chances that TELUS will push the update earlier or later.

The Optimus LTE will be the only LG smartphone that will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Canada. The South Korean company has recently confirmed that Optimus 2X and Optimus Black won’t be getting the hotly anticipated update.

In the same piece of news, TELUS device OS upgrade schedule mentions that an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Nexus S has already been launched on July 20. All Nexus S owners should get notifications on the availability of the update by July 30.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets are now slated for a mid-August Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. No specific release dates are available yet, but we expect TELUS to refresh its scheduler in the following weeks.

In addition, TELUS is currently testing a Windows Phone update (MRC3) for HTC 7 Surround, which is expected to be pushed in early August.

Last but not least, Nokia Lumia 800 MRC3 update has been approved for launch since July 11 and will be rolled out in stages via Zune over the next month.

All TELUS Nokia Lumia 800 owners should receive this MRC3 update by August 11. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
