Soon after Research in Motion went official with BlackBerry Bold 9790 and Curve 9380, TELUS announced it would carry both smartphones.

Although the carrier did not disclose the exact release dates for the BlackBerry 7 devices, it did mention that both would be available “in time for the holidays.”

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that Canadian carrier Bell plans to release the Curve 9380 smartphone as well.

According to an internal document leaked via MobileSyrup, Bell will launch the all-touch Curve 9380 on November 28, so it's possible that TELUS will go live with the new BlackBerry 7 smartphones around the same time frame.

However, the carrier took it even further and unveiled the price options of the smartphones ahead of their official launch.

It looks like the BlackBerry Bold 9790 will be available for purchase for as low as $129 (95 EUR) with a new three-year agreement, or for a suggested retail price of $479.99 (355 EUR) outright.

Additional price options are available with the following plans: $329.99 (245 EUR) with a two-year term and $429.99 (320 EUR) with a short one-year term.

The same plans are available for the BlackBerry Curve 9380, but they are considerably cheaper, as the smartphone can be bought for only $49.99 (37 EUR) on a three-year contract, or $369.99 (275 EUR) off-contract.

Customers will also be able to get the Curve 9380 for $269.99 (200 EUR) on a two-year term, or for $319.99 (240 EUR) with the signing of a one-year agreement.

Even though both smartphones are delivered with BlackBerry 7 operating system on board, they are aimed at different targets.

Touted the first all-touch smartphone in the Curve family, the Curve 9380 comes with a 3.2-inch capacitive display and lacks the standard QWERTY keyboard.

The Bold 9790 is the improved sequel of the Bold 9780 and is equipped with a powerful 1 GH processor and 768 MB of RAM.
