TDK is one of those companies that, among other things, deals in sound solutions that are definitely not small and cuddly, something that is made clear by the products revealed in its new press release, which focus on sound clarity and intensity.

The IT customer base is composed of a large number of layers, classifiable according to some identifiable criteria or another.

When it comes to the audio market, as with all others, pricing plays a great part in determining which items fit into the low-end, the mainstream and the high-end.

Above these three, however, there are those things that only handful of consumers or professional users can afford or even use. They are known as premium audio equipment.

TDK released a collection of this very sort of products, its members being a pair of Belt Drive Turntables, a 360-degree Sound Cube and Speaker Boomboxes with 2 and 3 speakers, respectively.

They have a unique visual equalizer, dubbed "visual heartbeat," and were designed with precision performance, as said by the press release.

"In designing the new TDK Life on Record premium audio products, we hoped to create bold products that connect what people love about analog with the convenience and style of new digital technology," said Steve Swenson, Global Brand Manager for TDK Life on Record.

"The response to what we created has exceeded our expectations. With the products on shelves for people to discover, we are excited to hear about their first-hand listening experiences with the new line."

The 3-speaker Boombox ($499) has a high excursion 6-inch subwoofer driver and two 6-inch coaxial drivers, while the 2-speaker model ($399) has just two six-inch coaxial drivers.

The sound cube ($299) has two l 5 1/4-inch coaxial drivers and sound ports on all sides, while the turntables ($249-$399) have exposed belt drives and optical speed sensors.

Sales of all products should already be possible through online stores.
