Wireless carrier T-Mobile is reportedly getting ready to deliver software updates for two of the handsets currently available on its airwaves, namely the HTC HD2 and BlackBerry Bold 9700. The new software upgrades are expected to be made available for T-Mobile's customers as soon as today, so as to enable users receive a better experience from their devices.

According to a recent article on TmoNews, the new software solution for the Windows Mobile 6.5-based HTC HD2 is expected to come as the official download of the ROM spotted only a few days ago on HTC's support website. The update should resolve some issues with the device, and those who weren't able to download it before, since the link was recently removed from the company's website, should have the chance to get it starting today.

In addition, the news site says that one of their sources sent out the following: “HTC HD2 Software Update On May 18, T-Mobile will provide a software upgrade for HTC HD2 customers to download at www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/. All customers with an HD2 are encouraged to install this upgrade as it improves device stability and performance.”

As for the Blackberry Bold 9700, the software upgrade expected to become available for it today should resolve problems users have had with dropped 3G calls. The wireless carrier and Research In Motion reportedly worked together in providing the software solution, which was initially set to land on May 11, but which suffered a 7-day delay. Hopefully, the update will arrive today for Bold 9700, especially since a recent post on T-Mobile forums says that it should indeed land on May 18.

TmoNews notes that the update should include about the following enhancements: - Increase general stability for the software - New separate icon for BES e-mail - Improvements to chat view SMS user interface - Improved BlackBerry Messenger client - General Visual Voicemail improvements - Resolve 3G dropped call issue - Mobile Backup support - Improvements to TrackPad performance.
