T-Mobile and Miami Heat have just announced that they sealed a multi-year partnership which makes the carrier the Official Wireless Telecommunications Provider of the team and the AmericanAirlines Arena.

Furthermore, the agreement also extends to in-game features, exposure on English and Spanish radio, in-arena signage, retail promotions, social media integration, and other online elements including “Presenter of HEAT.com’s TV Companion”.

Heat’s Home Opener with Orlando Magic on October 29th will be kicked off by T-Mobile with a pre-game celebration open to all Heat fans that have a ticket to the game.

The event will include a live performance by Mr. 305, local resident and music artist Pitbull.

The partnership between T-Mobile and Miami Heat puts one of team's stars, Dwyane Wade, in the center. His relationship with T-Mobile dates back to the 2006-07 season. Dwyane starred in numerous commercials for T-Mobile’s NBA campaign, which probably made the negotiations of the agreement much easier.

“Dwyane Wade has been one of our great partners, so this new sponsorship with the Miami HEAT is a natural fit,” said Derek Chang, Director of Sponsorships at T-Mobile USA.

“We’re looking forward to working with the HEAT to develop exciting programs for the fans and our customers. The T-Mobile Tip-Off event couldn’t be a better way to start the new season,” added Chang.

As a side note, T-Mobile will sponsor the team’s “Noche Latina” initiatives scheduled to take place during three March home games.

Fans of Miami Heat that want to access T-Mobile’s Tip-Off event and have already bought their tickets must hurry up, as entry is provided on a first come, first serve basis.

T-Mobile customers without a game ticket can simply show their device and receive tickets instantly, while they visit one of the local T-Mobile stores eligible for this promotion.
