United States mobile phone carrier T-Mobile is gearing up for the release of the first major software update for its HTC HD7 users as soon as today, if some of the latest reports around the Internet are to be believed. This would be the same NoDo upgrade that Microsoft started to push to unlocked Windows Phone 7 devices last week, the one that brings Copy&Paste capabilities into the mix, along with other features.

While being rolled-out to unlocked devices at the moment, the software update was said to arrive on carrier-branded handsets at a later date.

However, it seems that T-Mobile USA would be among the first wireless operators to have the software update sent out to its customers.

Leaked info on the company's plans show that it would start sending the update as of today, and that all HD7 users on its network might receive it in the near future.

However, no specific info on how long it might take before all users have the software installed on their HD7 devices emerged for the time being.

The new software update comes with a wide range of enhancements, including the aforementioned copy and paste capabilities, or performance improvements for applications and games.

In addition to a range of other performance improvements, the update also includes:

- Messaging improvements. We've improved the experience of receiving Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages if your phone uses a PIN-locked SIM.

- Facebook integration. We've improved the experience of syncing Facebook accounts.

- Camera improvements. We've improved the stability of switching between camera and video modes.

- Audio improvements. We've improved the experience of using a Bluetooth headset to make calls when you're playing music or videos.

While the HTC HD7 owners on T-Mobile USA's airwaves might taste the update as soon as today, it still remains to be seen when the software might become available for other handsets via other wireless carriers.
