T-Mobile G2 might be the first Android-based handset to sport HSPA+ connectivity, but it seems that T-Mobile's plans in the smartphone area stretch wider, and that the unannounced T-Mobile myTouch HD would be a dual-core handset to include such capabilities.

In addition to running under Google's Android 2.2 operating system, the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch HD is expected to include support for the carrier's HSPA+ network and to pack a dual-core processor inside, at least this is what recently leaked documents on it show.

A recent article on TmoNews brings to the Internet shots of T-Mobile's documents detailing the device, and showing not only that it would sport HSPA+, but also that it would operate on “America’s largest 4G network.”

Whether the carrier refers here to its HSPA+ network, which, according to it, can deliver 4G speeds, or to something else, it remains to be seen.

The specifications list of this mobile phone also includes a 1 GHz dual-core processor, a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and flash, and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling.

Other specs would include 4 GB of internal memory, most probably complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and the Android 2.2 OS on top of the hardware, most probably coupled with HTC's Sense UI.

The new Android-based mobile phone also comes with the Swype virtual keyboard, Screen Share, and the Genius Button, this time with a driving mode that enables users respond to text messages via speech.

The T-Mobile myTouch HD made it to the headlines quite a few times before, but many previous rumors on it proved false with the new leak, providing that this is the real deal, of course.

Some suggested that it might be the one and the same device as the HTC Desire HD, but the screen size and the application processors they pack suggest otherwise.

No specific release date on the T-Mobile myTouch HD emerged for the time being, but rumor has it that November might be the lucky month for enthusiasts.

If so, more details on the new device should make it into the wild soon, along with official info on its release date and pricing, so stay tuned for more.
