Today, mobile phone carrier T-Mobile made available for pre-order a new Android-based mobile phone on its airwaves, namely the myTouch 4G Slide.

Featuring a price tag of $199.99 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement after a $50 mail-in rebate, the new device can be seen on the wireless carrier's website here.

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide is listed there with a full price tag of $499.99, provided that there are users who would like to purchase it contract free.

The pre-order page for this device also notes that it is exclusively available online until July 26th, 2011. It should arrive in stores at the wireless carrier the very next day, July 27th.

The myTouch 4G Slide was unveiled to the world only recently, with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and with appealing specs.

It sports a dual-core 1.2 GHz application processor inside, along with a high-resolution touchscreen display complemented by a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

It also comes with support for the wireless carrier's HSPA+ network, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

A microSD memory card slot allows users to expand the available storage space by up to 32GB. The mobile phone also comes with Hotspot capabilities, so as to enable users connect other Wi-Fi enabled devices to the Internet.

One of the main selling points T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide is said to be its 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features support for full HD video recording, dual LED flash, and auto focus.

The wireless carrier claims that this is the most advanced camera any smartphone would include, due to features like:

- Improved low-light performance: with a backside illuminated sensor and a wide aperture lens (f/2.2) - Zero shutter lag: innovative software features allow for an instantaneous shot at that precise moment - Digital camera features: SweepShot panorama, ClearShot HDR, BurstShot

Those who would like to purchase the new device should head over to the wireless carrier's website to pre-order it, or they can wait until July 27th to make an in-store purchase.
