Today, mobile phone carrier T-Mobile announced the upcoming availability of a new Android-based device on its airwaves, the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, a handset packing support for its HSPA+ network, the latest flavor of Google's mobile operating system, and the most advanced camera in a smartphone today. On the back, the new mobile phones sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for HD video recording, and with features that make it a great option for all those who would like to purchase a new handset from the carrier.

“Get the perfect shot with zero shutter lag, sweeping ultrawide shots, and more with the myTouch 4G Slide Android-powered smartphone,” T-Mobile notes on its website.

The 8MP camera features dual LED flash, along with a series of advanced digital camera features, such as:

- Improved low-light Performance: with a backside illuminated sensor and a wide aperture lens (f/2.2) - Zero shutter lag: innovative software features allow for an instantaneous shot at that precise moment - SweepShot: for capturing panoramic shots by sweeping across an entire scene in a single motion - ClearShot HDR: for capturing objects in bright settings so your photos are not affected by high-contrast lighting - BurstShot: for capturing multiple photos in a quick burst so you don’t miss the perfect photo.

The new mobile phone also offers a dedicated camera button, along with one-touch access to upload photos on social networking sites, including Facebook, Picasa or Flickr, all while enjoying 4G speeds on the wireless carrier's HSPA+ network.

With a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside, a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, the new myTouch 4G Slide should prove a great option for the carrier's users who can already benefit from the advanced 4G speeds its network can deliver.

The carrier already offers HSPA+ in 190 markets, offering advanced connectivity options to over 200 million people nationwide. The network was just expanded to 7 new markets, announced along with the launch of the new device.

“T-Mobile’s 4G network has expanded to seven additional markets: Barnstable, Mass.; Chico, Calif.; Lancaster, Penn.; Ogden, Utah; Redding, Calif.; Vineland, N.J., and Winchester, Va.,” the wireless carrier announced.

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide can be seen on the operator's website here, featuring a price tag of $199 on contract. It will arrive on shelves in July.
