Today, wireless carrier T-Mobile USA made available for purchase on its airwaves a new mobile phone, one that includes support for its fast HSPA+ network, namely the T-Mobile myTouch 4G. Powered by a fast processor and packing great connectivity options, the new device also comes with deep integration with Qik integration, the operator announced.

Basically, the device sports a so called T-Mobile Video Chat feature, which is powered by Qik, and which was integrated with the Android address book so as to offer users enhanced video chat features on the carrier's network.

The new T-Mobile myTouch 4G smartphone is available for purchase from T-Mobile's website here, featuring a price tag of $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the company and after a $50.00 mail-in rebate.

“Stay connected at blazing-fast 4G speeds with the new Android-powered myTouch. Video chat with faraway family and friends - no Wi-Fi required,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

“Capture HD videos and pictures in stunning detail with the HD Camcorder. And with the Genius Button, use simple voice commands to call, send messages, and surf the Web.”

With T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik, users can enjoy enhanced video quality when compared to other solutions available on the market, mainly due to the deep hardware integration the solution comes with, T-Mobile notes.

Moreover, this is the first video communications service directly integrated into the native Android address book that also includes live presence indication.

Users can vie whether their contacts are available or not straight from the device's address book, and they can engage into a live video session from the native device user interface.

“Unlike existing video calling solutions, T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik allows users not only to conduct live two-way video conversations from their mobile device, but also allows users to leave video messages,” the company notes.

“Similar to leaving a voice message when a recipient is not available for a voice call, users are demanding the ability to leave video messages when they attempt to share an irreproducible moment with their friend or family member.”

Through this service, users can send and receive video messages from/on over 200 supported phone models, so that they can be closer to their family at all times.
