Wireless carrier T-Mobile has finally released on its airwaves the T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google handset, expected to come on the US market for more than three months now. Starting today, August 5, Android fans in the US have the possibility to acquire the device from T-Mobile retail and partner locations, as well as from the carrier's website.

myTouch 3G can be personalized to wholly reflect your individuality, pride and passion, making it ‘100% you’,” said Denny Marie Post, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA. “We’ll help this come to life from the get-go at our retail stores, where unique sample personas will be displayed to illustrate some of the many customization options. Also, our skilled myTouch 3G Retail Champions will learn about our customers’ interests and needs to make sure they’re suited to make their myTouch unlike any other.”

Although some might argue that T-Mobile made users wait quite a lot for the phone to come to the market, we should mention that the myTouch 3G comes in three different color versions (black, white and merlot), and that a lot of accessories for it are also available, so the wait might have been worth it. Moreover, subscribers also have the opportunity to personalize the unit they buy in a variety of ways.

T-Mobile offers a range of pre-designed shell patterns for those willing to acquire the new phone, but also the possibility to come with personal ideas for further customizations. There are several ways in which users can design their own shells, including personal photos or graphic design online uploads, as well as the selection of text, shapes, icons or logos.

A new application from T-Mobile is also available on the Android Market, under the name of AppPack, which provides a series of free software solutions to users, including Sherpa (which learns user's preferences), imeem Mobile (enabling music streaming), WorldTour, Phonebook, FreshFace, Movies by Flixster, and three apps from T-Mobile, namely T-Mobile My Account T-Mobile Visual Voicemail and T-Mobile Mobile Backup.

The price tag for the T-Mobile myTouch 3G has been set at $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier.
