Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile USA is expected to bring to the market in the country some new Android-based mobile phones as soon as next month, including a successor for the Motorola Cliq, as well as the long-rumored second Dell Streak device out there.

There have been a great deal of rumors floating around on both of these devices, and it seems that they are about to be put to a rest, as T-Mobile might bring them both to its network come January 19th.

A recent article on TmoNews suggests that the wireless carrier is aiming at launching the Motorola Cliq 2 and Dell Streak 7 the very same day, though no official confirmation on this emerged for the time being.

Most probably, T-Mobile would make the announcement during CES 2011 in Las Vegas next week, provided the rumors are indeed true.

In the meantime, a few words on these devices need being said, in case there are some of you who did not meet them before.

As stated above, the Motorola Cliq 2 is expected to land as the successor of the original Cliq, which was released on T-Mobile's airwaves more than a year ago.

It would be a low-end phone, sporting both a touchscreen display and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, the whole set of connectivity capabilities, GPS receiver, and support for all the services bundled with the Android platform from Google.

As for the Dell Streak 7, it would arrive on shelves as, obviously, the bigger brother of the already available Dell Streak slate, which sports only a 5-inch screen, as opposed to the 7-inch one in the upcoming tablet PC.

Dell has already touted a future Android-based successor for the Streak, but no specific info on its hardware capabilities emerged for the time being, even if it was rumored before to be on its way to Magenta.

However, provided these rumors pan out, the yet-unannounced Dell Streak 7 will step into the spotlight at the Consumer Electronics Show, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
