T-Mobile USA is getting ready to launch a new service for its subscribers, together with a new product. Although it's a GSM device, the product in question is not a mobile phone, but a digital picture frame that comes with a SIM card and number, allowing you to send pictures to it from your camera phone.

According to Cell Phone Signal, the new service is called Cameo, and the digital photo frame might be the latest from the French company Parrot, namely the DF7700.

Featuring a TFT display with 720 x 480 pixels and 262K colors, the Parrot DF7700 digital photo frame will allow T-Mo users to send their photos from their handsets, via a GPRS Class 10 connection. After you choose the photo, send it as an MMS to the number of the SIM card that comes with the DF7700 and you're done.

Of course, you can also transfer photos to the DF7700 via a miniUSB port (from a PC), or via SD and MMC cards (from a digital camera). The DF7700 can store up to 500 images that are automatically rotated (in landscape or portrait mode, depending on the way you "hold" the frame).

Parrot DF7700 weighs 720 grams and measures 222 x 176 x 22.5 millimeters (external frame included). The frame is said to cost 100 USD, while the Cameo service (which allows you to send images to the DF7700 from a T-Mo handset) should be available for 10 USD per month.

For the moment, there is no info related to the launch date of Cameo and the new digital photo frame, but T-Mobile USA will probably make the service and the device available in the next few months.

All in all, the new service and photo frame will probably pair off with the T-Mobile G1 Android smartphone, since its 3.15 auto focus camera should be able to take pretty nice photos.
