T-Mobile USA will be the first US-based carrier to offer the long awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II.

The operator has recently confirmed it will start deliver the update starting June 11, though Galaxy S II owners will only be able to upgrade their devices through Samsung Kies desktop software.

For the time being, it's unclear if T-Mobile USA will also offer an OTA (over the air) update, so users might take that into consideration and make sure they have the latest version of Kies installed on their PCs.

Other US-based carriers, including Sprint and AT&T, are expected to deliver the same Android 4.0 ICS update for their own branded Samsung Galaxy S II variants, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
