Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile USA has just introduced a new mobile phone to its offering, namely the Samsung T659, also known as Samsung Scarlet. The new mobile phone comes to the operator's lineup in a sliding form factor, and proves itself to be a rather affordable device, which can deliver all the basic features a user would need.

Priced at $69.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier and after a $50.00 mail-in rebate, the Samsung T659 Scarlet comes with an attractive design, as well as with 3G capabilities, quad-band 850 MHz/900 MHz/1800 MHz/1900 MHz connectivity options, not to mention Stereo Bluetooth capabilities.

The specifications list of the phone shows a built-in GPS receiver, as well as a 2-megapixel photo snapper that also sports video recording capabilities, messaging capabilities including text, picture and video messaging, support for email, a music player, Speakerphone, as well as a microSD memory card slot to offer users that possibility to add more storage space to the equation.

Samsung T659 Scarlet measures 4.1 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches and weighs in at 3.3 ounces. It comes to the market with a Li-ion battery that can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time or up to 12.5 days of standby time. In addition to the aforementioned specs and features, the mobile phone also includes support for a hands-free headset, which comes in the package.

One thing that one should agree with is that the new device added to T-Mobile's offering seems to offer enough features for an affordable handset. T-Mobile delivers the Samsung Scarlet with a series of services included, such as Call Forwarding, Call Waiting or Caller ID, yet users can opt for other services too. You can find the phone on T-Mobile's website here.
